Parent's Right to Know

As a key feature of the Every Student Succeed Act of 2015, school systems are required to notify parents of children attending Title I participating schools that they may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their child's teacher(s).  This act is referred to as the "Parents' Right-to-Know" Title I, Part A, Section 1111 (h)(6).

If you are interested in this information, you may obtain the necessary form to make the request from your child's school or central office (Dr. Gale D. Satchel 256-386-8565 ext. 217).  Once the form is completed and returned to the school, the requested information will be mailed to the address listed on the request form within ten (10) working days after receiving the request.
