CHHS Shoals Scholar Dollar Student of the Year

The Colbert Heights High School 2021 nominee for Shoals Scholar Dollar Student of the Year is Bobby Ray Holt. He along with sixteen seniors from each high school in Colbert and Lauderdale counties completed the process of applying which included an application, resume, and an essay, and interviewing to represent their school in a chance to win scholarships to Northwest Shoals Community College and the University of North Alabama. Once selected to represent their school, each of the individuals were interviewed by a panel of business professionals and educators.

 

Although Bobby did not win the overall prize, he was awarded two years of half tuition at Northwest Shoals to help pursue his career plans. Bobby has been a leader on campus, in the school district, and in state levels too. He is the Student Council President, Senior Class President, FBLA President, serves on the Colbert County Schools Ambassadors, and served as the Alabama FBLA District 1 Vice President this year.
